Our Team at Grace

David grew up in London, Ontario. After graduating from Redeemer University and Mid-America Reformed Seminary with an M.Div., he was called to Grace Bible Church—then Blair Community Church—in 1995. Since then, David has faithfully served GBC through many seasons of growth and change, including four relocations within the Cambridge area. Today, the church is settled in downtown Galt, where there are many opportunities to share the gospel and encourage believers.

David has travelled extensively to Mongolia, Cuba, Hungary, and other parts of Asia to train church leaders. He has also served at Heritage College and Seminary as Director of the Biblical Care and Counselling Certificate program and has served as a board member of the Canadian Biblical Counselling Coalition.

David is married to Eva, and together they have three adult children and three grandchildren.

Haniel was born in South India and moved to Canada with his family at age 13. In his late teens, he spent three summers on overseas ministry trips that confirmed his desire to share the gospel where it was not known. After graduating from Heritage College with a B.Th., Haniel and Michelle married and became members of Grace Bible Church in 2006.

In 2011, they were sent out by GBC to Western Asia, where they served in a local church. Working alongside the national pastor, Haniel helped cultivate a gospel-centered community through discipleship, teaching, and life-on-life ministry with first-generation believers.

The Davys returned to Canada in 2022 and rejoined GBC as members. That same year, Haniel joined the church staff as Associate Pastor of Congregational Care—a role that reflects his heart for walking alongside people through seasons of hardship. Haniel also serves with Mission to the Margins, a local gospel ministry caring for neighbours experiencing homelessness and poverty, and is currently pursuing an MA in Spiritual Care and Psychotherapy at Martin Luther University College.

Haniel and Michelle have three children: Iva, Mikayla, and Jadon.

Phil was born in Toronto but spent most of his childhood in Nigeria, where his father and mother served as a pastor and nurse in missions.

After earning a Bachelor of Social Work from McGill University, Phil worked for 25 years in areas including child welfare, youth ministry, children’s disability services, mental health housing, prison ministry, and Veterans Affairs.

Following an unexpected career change and experiencing God’s grace, Phil attended Heritage Seminary and completed a Graduate Certificate in Theological Studies in 2025. He joined Grace Bible Church later that year and is excited to serve the church family.

Phil enjoys playing and watching sports, discussing thought-provoking movies, and many other interests—but most of all, he loves talking about Jesus and the goodness of God.

Phil is married to Emily, and they have two adult children.

Kevin began attending Grace Bible Church in early 2024 and, together with his wife Karen, became a member later that year. They have been married since 1987 and have been blessed with three children.

Kevin grew up in a home with little Christian influence and came to faith in Jesus Christ at age 17 after a co-worker invited him to a church event and faithfully shared the gospel with him. That decision in June 1983 marked the beginning of his lifelong journey of following Christ.

Over the years, Kevin has been involved in church life through discipleship, Bible study, service, and ministry. Through both joys and challenges, he has continued to grow in faith and learn to depend on God’s grace.

In recent years, his family has faced significant losses and hardships. Through those trials, the Lord has deepened Kevin’s faith, strengthened his trust in God’s sovereignty, and enriched his relationship with his wife.

Kevin works in technical sales serving the automotive industry. He is grateful to serve GBC through board ministry, helping provide sound governance, stewardship, and practical support for the congregation’s mission. He also enjoys contributing to maintenance and improvement projects around the church.

Ian and his family have attended Grace Bible Church since April 2015 and became members in 2018.

Ian was raised in a Christian home and felt the call of the Holy Spirit from a young age. During high school, he had opportunities to discuss and defend his faith, and he began to understand that his future career should be surrendered to the Lord.

After graduating from Trinity Western University in 1991, Ian worked one summer at Muskoka Bible Centre before joining his family business, where he worked in marketing and human resources.

Ian and his wife, Laura, celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary in 2026. They have five children, all of whom are committed to following the Lord.

Ian is grateful for GBC’s consistent preaching of God’s Word and its grace-filled presentation of the gospel. Over the years, he has volunteered on numerous ministry boards, including Grace Bible Church, and has been encouraged to witness God’s work through the church’s journey from Preston Heights to its current location in downtown Galt.

Mike began attending Grace Bible Church in 2025 and became a member in 2026.

He was raised in a Christian home and is grateful for his wife, Yvonne, who has faithfully served alongside him. Mike and Yvonne were married in 1992 and have been blessed with three children.

Mike and Yvonne previously served in a church federation in which they were raised. Over time, they became convinced of the biblical significance of confessional baptism and desired to join a Baptist church where they could serve God and their community.

Mike is currently a small-business owner. His education and professional background are in accounting, where he worked for more than 25 years.

Mike is grateful to serve at GBC because he believes God has given each person unique gifts to use in His Kingdom. He values the many ways people serve at Grace and believes church attendance and membership involve actively contributing to the life and mission of the church.

Randy has been part of the Grace Bible Church family since 2020.

Raised by Christian parents, Randy was immersed in the gospel and surrounded by disciples of Christ. During his youth, however, he became distracted by sin and legalism and often tried to earn righteousness through his actions. During a winter ski trip, a conversation with a friend helped him understand that the redemptive story is centred entirely on Christ.

Randy has been married to Tirzah since 2009, and they have four sons. In 2020, their family moved to the Galt area.

Randy and another Christian couple own and operate a hazardous-material removal company in Kitchener. His previous roles include mission-trip leader, charity trustee, volunteer firefighter, and municipal councillor.

Randy is grateful for the opportunity to serve at GBC because he believes active participation in the local church is a significant means God uses to grow our faith. Serving alongside fellow believers has been a source of great joy to him.

Nandor began attending Grace Bible Church in 2016 and became a member in 2018.

God graciously allowed Nandor to grow up hearing the gospel in Hungary, although his understanding of Christianity was initially shaped by legalism and tradition rather than the finished work of Christ. After immigrating to Canada in 1990, Nandor and his late wife, Miriam, became convinced through Scripture that salvation is by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone.

Nandor’s faith has also been shaped through significant trials. His late wife lived with multiple sclerosis, their daughter was born with cerebral palsy, and Miriam later passed away after a long battle with ovarian cancer. Through these seasons, God sustained their family through His Word, prayer, and the care of His people.

Nandor and Barbara were married after both had lost their first spouses. Together, they have three adult children from Nandor’s first marriage.

Nandor owns and operates a small CNC machining business and has worked for many years in the machining and tool-and-die industry.

He has served as an elder at GBC since 2018 and has also served on the Board of Directors. He is grateful for the church’s faithful exposition of God’s Word, genuine fellowship, and commitment to the gospel.

Henry has been part of Grace Bible Church since January 2022 and became a member in 2023.

When Henry reflects on his journey of faith, he sees a story shaped by God’s relentless grace. For many years, his Christian confession and daily life were not aligned. Like the prodigal son, he eventually discovered that trying to live life on his own terms left him empty, but God met him in his lowest place and graciously called him home.

Today, Henry is learning to live more fully in the truth that he has been washed, sanctified, and justified in the name of Jesus Christ.

Henry was married to his first wife, Wendi, and they had three children. In 2024, he married PJ Hallahan, who also has three children. Together, they have two grandchildren and live in Waterloo.

After nearly three decades in horticulture and related industries, Henry returned to school full-time. He completed a Master of Theological Studies and a Graduate Certificate in Biblical Care and Counselling at Heritage College & Seminary. He is now studying Thanatology at Tyndale Seminary and is a registered chaplain with the Fellowship of Evangelical Baptists.

Henry is grateful to serve at GBC as an elder and co-shepherd among God’s people.
